The White Center Providers group invites you to the 3rd annual Early Learning Fair and Conference on March 6. The event will feature hands-on, active workshops; vendors, a raffle and door prizes; refreshments and lunch. 4 STARS hours. EDUC 101: Introduction to Early Childhood Education
This course provides an overview of early childhood education, including the historical, philosophical and social foundations of early childhood education. Students will examine current issues and trends, best practices and program models. Opportunities for observation are also included.

EDUC 115: Child Development (in Somali)
This course is taught in the Somali language. It examines current issues and trends in early childhood education with an international and historic perspective. Students will have opportunities to study and observe a variety of programs.

The Big Move to Kindergarten
Kindergarten teachers at your local schools want to meet you. Smooth transition to Kindergarten is enhanced when teachers have the opportunity to share their expertise. Readiness means different things to different people, and when early childhood educators have clarity about one another’s values, children’s opportunity for success is enhanced. This free STARS class gives providers, Pre-K, and Kindergarten teachers the opportunity to share notions about readiness and pool expertise about the children they serve.
